Learn about the history of Orange County on Sunday, April 28 when the great-grandson of Lewis and Nellie Gail Moulton, Jared Mathis, discusses the development of Orange County.

The free event takes place at 2 pm in the City Hall Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.

Please complete the following form to request a library tour. Please note tours are usually held on Friday mornings and are subject to staff availability.

Enjoy a special, one-of-a-kind storytime performance with our underwater guest, Marigold the Mermaid! Dressing up is encouraged, and stick around for the chance to take photos with Marigold!

The Tortured Poets Department releases April 19. Are you ready for it? Put on your cardigan and come make friendship bracelets and other Swiftie-themed crafts to celebrate TS 11! Brush up on your Taylor trivia and find out if you REALLY know her lyrics.

The Mission Viejo Library is hosting a “Fancy Nancy Tea Party” with illustrator Robin Preiss Glasser on Saturday, April 20 at 11 am.

Dress in your fanciest clothes or casually for a morning of refreshments, crafts, and lessons on how to be fancy.

Following the activities, Glasser will sign books available for purchase at the event through the Whale Of A Tale Children’s Bookshoppe. This event is free and open for all ages in the Storytime Room and The Kershaw Garden at 100 Civic Center.

Families are invited to get fancy with Fancy Nancy illustrator Robin Preiss Glasser!

Local history lovers of all ages are invited to join Jared Mathis, great-grandson of Lewis and Nellie Gail Moulton as he discusses the development of Orange County. Jared, who is CEO of the Moulton Company and president of the Moulton Museum, will share his family’s story. Audience members will have an opportunity to ask Jared questions about the history of the area and museum operation.

The City is inviting residents to share their treasured recipes for the Mission Viejo Community Cookbook.

Set for publication this summer, the cookbook will include one recipe and brief personal narrative from each contributor. Selected participants will have their dishes professionally photographed and included in an exhibit at the Norman P. Murray Community Center.

Recipe submissions will be accepted through March 31. Selections are based on recipe type, culinary merit, and cultural heritage significance.

Join us for a virtual visit from NASA researcher, Rossina Miller! Rossina will share how she became a NASA scientist and what inspired her as a young person to pursue a STEM career.

The presentation will be followed by space-themed activities and snacks.
Best for ages 8-14.
