Birth, death and marriage announcements in the Saddleback Valley News from 1969 – 1989 have been indexed by the South Orange County California Genealogical Society. Explore Your Roots at the Library!

The Genealogy Collection is located in the South Wing of the library and includes:  in-house access to an online genealogical database, books, periodicals, family histories, and more.  Genealogical research assistance is provided at no cost by volunteers from the South Orange County California Genealogy Society (SOCCGS).

To access eBooks, eAudiobooks, and digital magazines from Axis360, OverDrive or Zinio, you will need your valid library card, brief access to the Internet, and free software for the device on which you wish to use your digital book, audiobook or magazine.

When signing in with your library card number be sure to use a capital "M" and enter the barcode number with no spaces (i.e. M107165771). Your PIN is typically the last 4 digits of your phone number.
