Don’t miss ‘Being Mortal’ April 8

Have you ever thought about an advanced directive but aren’t sure where to start? Each day, countless families are faced with the difficulty of end-of-life decisions. Whether you’re a family member, healthcare professional or planning for yourself, don't miss a special program on Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.

The Mission Viejo Library is teaming up with St. Joseph Healthcare at Mission Hospital to bring you "Being Mortal," a documentary film based on a book by Dr. Atul Gawande. This PBS Frontline documentary film emphasizes the importance of planning for our own mortality. The 50-minute film will be followed by a panel discussion with Mission Hospital doctors and nurses who will also be on hand to answer questions.

Register for this program by calling 949-830-7100, ext. 5105. The first 20 people to register will also receive a copy of “Being Mortal.”
