Taxpayers invited to grand opening of new South County Assessor’s Office May 23

city hall

The public is invited to the grand opening of the Orange County Assessor’s new South County office on Tuesday, May 23.

The event is from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the second floor of Mission Viejo City Hall at 200 Civic Center.

The South County Assessor Office space was donated rent-free by the City of Mission Viejo and is staffed by a local Assessor Department employee. The Orange County Assessor’s office identifies and values all property in the county for property tax purposes each year. Local residents can visit this new office for assistance with property assessment, property characteristics, new construction, changes in ownership and property tax bills.

“My goal is to be more accessible to our citizens and keep them off the busy freeway from South County to Santa Ana,” said Orange County Assessor Claude Parrish.

For more information about the grand opening celebration, contact Kristen Woodward at 714-834-2777.  Additional information about services at the Mission Viejo location is available by calling 949-470-8428.
