The City Council on Tuesday, March 8 will recognize the 2021 Employees of the Year from the City, Mission Viejo Police Services and Orange County Fire Authority.

After a series of public hearings and gathering community input about the transition to district-based representation and elections, the City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to select Map A.

The City of Mission Viejo is in the process of selecting the final map and boundaries for its transition to district-based representation and elections. This decision will impact Mission Viejo residents for years to come, so the public - as always - is encouraged to participate.

The City Council on Tuesday hosted another public hearing regarding district-based election maps that featured a detailed report by the Center for Demographic Research. Most of the discussion centered on Map A and the newly-revised Map E-1. The next public hearing will take place during the Council's February 22 meeting.
