With the current surge in COVID-19 cases and for safety precautions, the City Council's meeting on Tuesday, January 11 will be held virtually.

During the meeting, the Council will recognize former Mayor Trish Kelley for her service to the community in 2021 and current Mayor Wendy Bucknum will outline her objectives for this year.

Residents interested in submitting District Voting Maps must provide hardcopy/paper maps to the City Clerk's Office by noon Friday, January 7. Electronic email or faxed map submittals (including Excel file submission or PDF/picture/scanned maps) are due by 5 pm Sunday, January 9 to districtelections@cityofmissionviejo.org or faxed to 949-859-1386. 

When the City Council reconvenes after the holidays, Wendy Bucknum will serve as Mayor and Ed Sachs as Mayor Pro Tem for 2022. The Council Members were selected for the one-year posts during the City Council's annual reorganization on Tuesday. 

This will be the second Mayoral role for Wendy Bucknum who served as Mayor in 2017. Ed Sachs first served as Mayor Pro Tem in 2017.

The City is seeking your help in mapping out what a district-based election would look like.
