CA Covid-19 Rent Relief

As of June 28, 2021, California critical eviction protections have been extended through September 30, 2021 to help keep California families in their homes. Additionally, the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program now covers 100% of unpaid and future rent and utilities for income-eligible renters and their landlords who have been impacted by the pandemic. Those who have already applied and received payment will receive additional funds to reach 100% compensation.

CA.GOV Blueprint for a Safer Economy

The State of California has established a webpage, Blueprint for a Safer Economy, which is dedicated to reporting on which types of businesses can open safely. California has established this blueprint with the aim of reducing COVID-19 in the state with revised criteria for loosening and tightening restrictions on activities. The webpage describes which businesses can open, under what capacity, and where based on the county they reside in.

Restaurants in Mission Viejo

Small businesses facing immediate financial pressure during the pandemic can apply for LISC Small Business Relief Grants. The Round 6 application period is now open. Applications are due before 9 pm on Monday, September 7.

The County and 3D Event Designer launched an outdoor edition of its Back2Business Initiative program to help local small businesses impacted by COVID-19 safely reopen by meeting local, state and federal social distancing guidelines.

In partnership with the Orange County Workforce Development Board (OCWDB), the County of Orange is launching the second round of funding for the OCWDB COVID-19 Layoff Aversion Support Program. 
 
Through the OCWDB COVID-19 Layoff Aversion Support Program, eligible businesses can receive up to $10,000 in grant funds. This funding is intended to help local small businesses mitigate layoffs and adhere to “social distancing” provisions established by state and federal public health entities. 
 

In an effort to support local businesses and restaurants during the pandemic, the City is granting Temporary Use Permits (TUP) for the use of portions of shopping center parking and common areas to allow for increased outdoor dining and other commercial-related activities. 

The deadline to apply for grant money for small businesses and organizations was extended again to 5 pm on Sunday, July 19 or until local funds are expended.

The Small Business Grant Relief Program supports small businesses and organizations impacted by COVID-19. Applications for grants up to $10,000 will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis (within each city's allocation).
