The Pleasure of Drawing

Learn to really see and record your world on paper in the form of drawing with line, tone and texture in a variety of subjects. 

Classes take place Wednesday, May 18 to June 22 from 12:30-2pm for age 18 and older. Cost is $45; register here.

Fairy House Votive Workshop

Learn to sculpt with paper pulp. Fashion your own beautiful, whimsical fairy house votive that sparkles on the outside and glows from within. Let the magic shine! Electric tea light included. *A $15 material fee is due to the instructor.

Class takes place on Saturday, May 28 from 10am to noon for people 8 and older. Cost is $35; register here.

Intermediate Watercolor Class for Adults: Kids on the Beach

In this two-week class, you will learn to look at a subject with an artist’s eye and discover the power of color and composition. You will create one watercolor painting project called “Kids on the Beach.” A supply list will be provided upon registration.

Classes take place Thursdays from 10am to noon June 2-9 for adults 18 and older. Cost is $60; register here.
 

Beginning Watercolor Class: Panda Bear

In this two-week class, you will paint a panda bear while learning how to use tools and mix paints as well as composition and techniques on how to achieve certain looks in your painting. *A $10 materials fee is due to instructor.

Classes take place Thursdays, June 2-9 from 3:30 to 5:30pm, for kids 10 and older. Cost is $50; register here.

Knitting for Beginners

In this entry-level class, you will learn the skills to begin enjoying the time-honored craft of knitting. You will learn about casting-on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and binding off. All supplies are provided. A $15 material fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class. No class on June 21.

Classes take place on Tuesdays from 6-8pm June 7 to July 5, for people 16 and older. Cost is $70; register here.

Knitting Beyond Beginner

Take your knitting to the next level! In this class, you will learn how to increase, decrease, and combine stitches as well as read knitting patterns. All supplies are provided. A $15 material fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class. No class on June 23.

iPhone Photography

Learn everything you need to know to maximize your iPhone photos and videos. Focus, exposure, flash, HDR, panoramas, accessories and apps are discussed. (iPhone required)

Class takes place Saturday, June 11 from 9:30 am to 12:30pm for ages 16 and older. Cost is $35; register here.

Nature’s Creation Open Studio: Rainsticks

Create a rain stick using natural materials that will amplify the sounds of the seasons. *A $10 material fee is due to the instructor.

Class takes place Tuesday, June 14 from 3-5pm for age 16 and older. The class is free; register here.

Digital Photography 101

In this five-week course, you will learn quality digital photography - menus, resolution, ISO, shutter and more. The class will teach you how to shoot portraits, sports, and night scenes. Bring your camera and its manual.

Shoot Better Digital Photos

This one-day workshop ends the confusion about your camera’s menus, focusing, flash, ISO and more. Learn to shoot photographs not snapshots. Bring a charged camera and manual. *The camp includes a 30-minute break for lunch.

Wonderful Watercolors

Learn about color theory, elements of art and technique. Enjoy learning to create successful watercolor paintings through training, demonstrations, and critiques.  A supply list will be provided upon registration.

Classes take place on Wednesdays from noon to 2:30pm July 6 to August 10, for adults 18 and older. Cost is $80; register here.

The Art of Painting for Adults

Learn to paint in a fun and creative environment! Learn about techniques, styles, and processes – light and shadow, color mixing and usage – to create depth and mood and much more. Beginners and more advanced students are welcome.

Classes take place Thursdays from 6-8pm July 7-28, for people 15 and older. Cost is $125; register here.

The Art of Painting for Kids

Kids will learn to paint in a fun and creative environment! They will be guided step by step through basic processes to more advanced concepts of painting such as creating light, shadow, depth, and mood and much more. Beginners and more advanced students are welcome. No class on August 1.  

Classes take place Mondays from 10:30-11:30am July 11 through August 8, for ages 8-14. Cost is $125; register here.

Nature’s Creation Open Studio: Book Folding

Back by popular demand learn a technique to create a paw print with heart embedded through book folding.  *A $10 material fee is due to the instructor.

Beginning Guitar and Ukulele Ensemble for Kids

Learn to play fun and easy songs in this new class. Children will experience the fun of playing music with other beginner students. Please bring your own non-toy guitar or ukulele to class.

Classes take place on Tuesdays from 4-5pm for ages 8-13

Experience the great sound of the guitar’s low frequency mixed with the high register of the ukulele. Students will learn easy, popular songs and melodies in a supportive environment. Please bring your own guitar or ukulele to class.

Geode & Gem “Pulp Stone” Pendant Workshop

Create dazzling one-of-a-kind wearable works of art using recycled paper pulp stones, colorful crystals and more.  Be the first to make a “seaode,” the new beach-themed geode you won’t find anywhere else. These realistic yet fantastical geode and gem-style pendants are lightweight, beautiful and sure to impress. *A $15 material fee is due to the instructor.

Nature’s Creation Open Studio: The Art of Repurposing Jewelry

Bring your old or broken jewelry and make a new creation to wear. Supplies, beads and tools will be provided to redesign your jewelry pieces into earrings, pendants, bracelets or anklets. *A $10 material fee is due to the instructor.

Summer Decoupage Candle Holder Workshop

Create stunning, decorative glass candle holders that appear hand-painted using vintage and upcycled materials. Seasonal, natural and varying themes are available.  Choose your size and style from shorter votives or tall pillars. *A $15 material fee is due to the instructor.
