Dog found tied to a tree with her pups in a box is now available for adoption

angel

At 1.5 years old, Angel, a Siberian husky-German shepherd mix, has already had a tough start to life. She was found tied to a tree at night in an Aliso Viejo park with her seven puppies in a box next to her … no food, water or way to protect her or her pups from danger. Mission Viejo Animal Services is investigating this abandonment but hasn’t yet determined who could have committed this crime.

Angel and her pups’ luck changed when we brought them to our shelter. They all received baths and vaccines, and DAWG paid for their medical needs. Of course, Angel’s puppies have all been adopted, but she is waiting for the perfect home. She is truly one of the nicest, kindest dogs we have ever met.  She rolls over in submission when getting pets and will crawl up into your lap for attention. Simply put, Angel is a great dog.  She just needs a wonderful home to give her the love she deserves.

If anyone has any information about this incident to please contact Mission Viejo Animal Services at 949-470-3045.

Hi there,
Has Miss Angel been exposed to cats while in the shelter? If so, I am curious how has she done around them. Thank you for any information. And thank you for caring for her and her puppies.

All the best,
Michael

Hello , We saw this beautiful girl " Angel" on the news last night. We are very much interesting in adopting her. Sadly all 3 of our furs babies went to heaven within the last 8 mths. All were 17. Two pups brother/sister (lab/pointer mix) and our girl (cat). We are now ready to welcome a new family member. We have a 30yr old special needs Son, whom is a true animal whisper. All love him and he loves all. He volunteers ounce a week at our local Petsmart in their catary. thank you !! Dee

Hello, I am interested in adoption. We currently have 2 dogs, a 13 pound Poodle Bijon mix, Evita and a Welsh Pembroke Corgi 28 pounds, Vicki.

We could foster or adopt. We've had 3 dogs before!

My kind neighbor and his wife lost their dog about 6 months ago. He got all teary eyed when telling me all about his furbaby who lived to a rip old age. If I recall correctly he said his dog was a goldern retriever-german shepherd mix, but looked similar to this beautiful girl.

anyways, email me and let me know if she is still up for adoption, I could let them know. She is a beautiful girl. I wish I could adopt her but I live in a home with several dogs already including mine. Who ever gets her, I think they would be very lucky.
