anita abriel

International bestselling author Anita Abriel will discuss her latest book "The Life She Wanted" on Wednesday, June 28.

Part of the City's popular Writers Present program, the event starts at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.

“The Life She Wanted” is the captivating story of Pandora Carmichael, a young woman growing up among the elite upper class of 1920s New York, a time when fortunes were made and a woman's dreams challenged against all odds.

Along with her latest book, Abriel, who was born in Australia, will also talk about "Rome in Love" (which became a Hallmark movie) as well as writing, publishing, and what happens beyond the publication date.

Anita also writes women’s fiction as “Anita Hughes.”
