Don’t miss incredible guitar duo Sept. 30

An amazing guitar duo performs Saturday, September 30 as part of the popular Lord of the Strings concert series. The performance begins at 7 pm in the City Hall Council Chamber, 200 Civic Center. 

Born in Finland and based in New York City, Gypsy jazz musician Soikkeli has played in jazz clubs and festivals across Europe. His move to New York brought him to venues including Town Hall, Herbst Theatre, Birdland Jazz Club, Blue Note, Iridium and the Lincoln Center.

Cesar Garabini is an Italian-Brazilian 7-string guitarist who specializes in Choro, the predecessor to the well-known Brazilian music styles Samba and Bossa Nova. In the past seven years, he has performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Jazz Standard, Birdland, Columbia University, the Museum of Modern Art, with a monthly residence at Barbes.
