Potocki Center for the Arts recognizes Mental Health Awareness Month with new art showcase

well-being art

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, a new exhibit is now on display at the Potocki Center for the Arts.

The Art of Well-being exhibit explores the vital connections between art and mental health through the work of five local artists - Fernando del Rosario, Jim Prothero, Ed Rosenblatt, Priya J. Shah and Tayte Trujillo.

Showcasing artwork in a variety of media and styles, each of artist offers a unique perspective on how creativity is linked to mental and emotional well-being.

Research shows that art has a positive impact on mental health, and this exhibit was curated to invite conversation on this important topic and encourage viewers to prioritize their own sense of well-being during Mental Health Awareness Month.

The exhibit runs through June 9.
