Mission Viejo businesses are invited to a free training designed to protect them from cyber-attacks.

Registration is now available for the specialized training that takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 10 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

Led by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s Cyber Crimes Detail, the training will teach business owners how to protect their businesses from an increasing number of cyber-crimes including business email compromise, network intrusions, ransomware and malware. Participants will gain vital information about these potential threats and learn what to do if their business has been compromised. The Cyber Crimes Detail is the only unit in Orange County that specifically investigates cyber-attacks.

This free training opportunity is open to all businesses. Seating is limited, so RSVP today to crimeprevention@cityofmissionviejo.org.
