Trick out your neighborhood for the third annual Halloween and Fall Home Decorating Contest

Mission Viejo residents are invited to trick out their neighborhoods with spooky Halloween décor or create a pumpkin and fall harvest design for the third annual Mission Viejo Halloween and Fall Home Decorating Contest.

Hosted by the Mission Viejo Activities Committee, the contest gives residents the chance to embrace the spirit of the season and compete for forever bragging rights. First-place winners will receive a certificate, winner sign for their front yard, an 8 x 10 photo and a gift basket.

Homes must be decorated, and entries received by 5 pm on Friday, October 6. Preliminary judging takes place October 8-9, with final review on October 11. Winners will be announced on October 13.

There is no cost to enter this fun contest. Categories include Best Theme, Best Special effects, Scariest, Most Creative, Scariest and Pumpkin-Tastic. View last year’s winners on YouTube.
