Visual Artist Registration Form

Thank you for registering to participate in the Mission Viejo Poetry + Art Collective as a visual artist. 

By submitting this form, you commit to creating a piece of visual art to correspond with a poem submitted by one of your fellow participants as part of this project. 

We will contact you with 1 to 3 poems in late April. You will select one poem to inspire your artwork. Your art will be displayed alongside your chosen poem in an exhibit at the Mission Viejo Library this summer. 

Artwork guidelines

• Content must be suitable for a general audience. 
• Participants must be aged 10 or older.
• Artwork must be two-dimensional, suitable for hanging on a gallery wall. Any media is accepted. 
• Artwork will be hung using a hanging wire or hook on the back of each piece. 
• If you wish to prepare your artwork for hanging, we recommend maximum dimensions of 48 x 48 inches. 
• If you need support from the Library & Cultural Services department in preparing your artwork for hanging, we are happy to help. We can provide frames in the following standard sizes:  
  • 16 x 20 inches
  • 11 x 17 inches
  • 11 x 14 inches
  • 12 x 16 inches
  • 8 x 10 inches

Please note: 
We cannot provide frames for artwork that does not conform to one of the sizes listed above. Frames provided by the Library & Cultural Services department for use in this exhibit will remain the property of the City of Mission Viejo. 

• Artwork is due by 5 pm on Friday, May 31. Bring your artwork to the Mission Viejo Library’s “Ask Here” desk.
