My family cannot appreciate our gratitude to the shelter.  We brought ‘Maui’ home on 9/11/2002. Animal Services found her abandoned at a dog park. We gave her a new name – Jasmine – and she spent the last 14+ years with us. We have two girls, and Jasmine was essentially our third daughter. She went dang near everywhere with us. Yesterday she passed away, and we’ve had a little time to reflect on
Ophelia aka Macadamia is doing great! She has adjusted to our home very well. Ophelia learned how to sit, come here, shake, high five, give hugs and kisses! She loves to bird watch and cuddle. Her favorite toy is a stuffed panda. Ophelia sends hugs and kisses to all the great staff at the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter! Thank you again!
Dear wonderful people at the shelter, Andy now known as Ollie has brought so much happiness, love and joy the to our lives. We can't express the gratitude we have for all of the employees and volunteers that cared for him while he was waiting to be adopted by our family.Thank you so much for choosing us to love and care for Ollie! He's so happy here and I will send some videos that show him in
Happy New Year! We adopted 'Lil' on 11/13/16 and she is doing great! We renamed her Dixie and she loves her big brother Bandit. She was 3 lbs 12 oz when we picked her up and now she's a whopping 5 lbs 14 ozs. Lol. She's a mighty, tiny little girl and very happy.  Thank you for her adoption. We love her SO much! Please enjoy her pics that I have attached. Thank you!
Patches is a wonderful addition to our family. Our golden retriever Daisy has taken to him right away.  Prince is still trying to get used to him but he's doing a little better today than yesterday. Thank you so much for both Prince and now Patches.  They are wonderful additions to our family. Cassie decided that patch is full name is Patches Junior Kinney.  She couldn't decide which name to give
A day in the life of Bugsy ❤
I wanted to let you and the crew know that I did the DNA test thing that was offered in the kit that you all provide when you adopt a dog.  Wookie is a Malamoodle!  Half Alaskan Malamute
We love Bowie! He has been awesome! All Good!
Snowy had a wonderful Christmas and is looking forward to a great New Year at the Ferrari home.
We are so thrilled to have Lexi join our family. She is doing great and is well-mannered. She is learning new things (going up stairs). She is very loving, always wanting to be right by us. She is very loved for by our family. Our kids were thrilled as it was a surprise for them as they have never had a dog. We even had 11 people over for Christmas Eve dinner and she did awesome and everyone
Happy Holidays! Trudy is an amazing part of our family! Her and our boy chihuahua, Melrose, love each other. At first he was standoffish towards her and now, a week later, they keep each other company during work time and love to play with each other! Trudy is doing well- we found that she has allergies and since we have been giving her medicine, she has a LOT more pep in her step! She does great
We kept him in one room for two days now he has the run of the house. He has adapted very well and has a sweet personality and likes attention from us which makes us very happy. We love Snowy and appreciate all the attention MV Shelter gave him while he was there. He is the best Christmas present we could ever get.
The Robbins family wanted to wish a Merry Christmas to you all! Of course, Sky insisted on posing for a picture to send you all there! Please share this with the staff and have a happy, safe and wonderful holiday season!
I headed over to the Mission Viejo Shelter the day after my sweet 16-year old dog was put to sleep.  While I was going through extremely severe grief, I was ready to start the search for my new best friend to help fill the void.  I was looking for a fairly small dog and found myself intrigued by the Terrier mix dog known as "Atticus."  Although his info card included the phrase "very active," I
Thank you so much. Mr. Weenie is settling in nicely. He loves going on walks and being with Bertie our basset hound. He went shopping for a bed today and is now resting.   Thank you for everything.
Thought you might want to see some new photos.  He is growing up.  10.3 pounds the last time I weighed him.  His markings are still awesome.  He is loving and has the loudest purr.  Harley loves him and they play constantly.   Happy Holidays! > ^..^
To Whom It May Concern, I adopted Missy in the spring of 2005. She is white lab who as a puppy was sold to a blind man as a companion (not a working dog), by a breeder.  She was well cared for and an indoor only dog. Unfortunately, her owner became ill and she was given back to the breeder; however, due to being spayed she was not much use to him. He put her in the backyard and left her there.
This last summer we lost our dog, we had a hole in our family that needed to be filled.  Since our kids are in college and we are to busy for a puppy, our family was looking for a new cat.  My kids went to the shelter and fell in love with (Dewey) Odin.  We adopted him at the end of August.  He was one of 3 brothers.  One of his brothers (Louie) Loki was still available the day we took him home
Here's (a picture of) Wookie tonight.  Sound asleep.  Probably the most sound sleep he has had in months.  He had a good day.  We got home and did a "pack walk" with Roxanne, my schnauzer, and then she introduced him to her backyard.  He did so well.  Then she introduced him to her house.  Wookie is house trained.  He only had one accident. He learned how to go to the back door and go out.   He
Hi Everyone, Ed is now named Travis The Fury and has settled in perfectly. He became part of the family as soon as we walked in the door. He's treated like a baby and seems to love being pampered.
Here's a few pictures of Angelica who we've renamed Penny.  She's as sweet as can be and just a tad feisty.  We love her already.  These two girls were instant BFFs.Thank you for choosing us to be her family!
We wanted to let you know how happy we are with our little bug Philip! (Formerly Porkchop.) He strutted in the first day as if to say, "Yeah, this what I wanted, hello home!" He settled in immediately and learns quickly. He loves his big sister - Belgian Malinois, Harper, and the play hard/rest awhile cycle repeats all day, every day. One look at his big brown eyes and our hearts melt! As always
Hello! My husband and I adopted Banjo and Shadow (formerly Daisy) a few days ago, and we just wanted to give you an update. They are both doing very well. Banjo is very lively and has so much personality! He plays so happily, and loves giving kisses and cuddling. As you know, Shadow was very shy when she first came home with us, and every day she is coming out of her shell a little more. She now
Hi All, It's been one week since Steven now Finn came to his forever home! He is doing well and we are getting to know each well! Here are a few picture of him for you all!Thank you!
Thought that I would send you a photo of Charle.  His name was Dustin when he was at the shelter.  I adopted him on October 17.  As you can see he is already making himself at home with his new big brother, Cooper.  He also gets along great with my dog so all is going well.  Thanks so much for all you do for the animals.
