This year’s Walk Against Drugs Community Fair will feature a meet-and-greet and musical performance by singer-songwriter Karly Moreno from Season 16 of NBC’s “The Voice.”

The Community Fair takes place from 9 am to noon on Saturday, October 21 on the Village Green at Oso Viejo Community Park, 24932 Veterans Way.

In an effort to educate and keep residents and businesses safe, Mission Viejo Police Services will host a Community Safety and Crime Prevention Presentation at 1 pm on Wednesday, October 11 at Presbyterian Church of the Master.  

Led by Crime Prevention Specialist Timory Sayne, the free presentation will feature important information about current scams and crime trends including theft, burglary, financial crimes, distraction thefts, crimes of opportunity and many others.

To submit a “Vacation Home Check” request please call the SCOR desk at 949-470-8433 and speak with a volunteer Monday-Friday from 8am – 5pm. The SCOR volunteer will need to ask you several questions in order to complete the form.

Voicemails and incomplete forms will not be sufficient to complete the vacation check request.

To submit a “Patrol Check” request please call the Sheriff's Dispatch line at 949-770-6011 and speak with a dispatcher. The dispatcher will need to ask you several questions in order to complete the form.

Save the date for Tuesday, August 1 when Mission Viejo will celebrate this safe City during National Night Out from 5-8 pm at Pavion Park, 24051 Pavion.  

National Night Out is a national community-building event that promotes police-community partnerships to raise awareness of local crime and build safer communities.  

Join us for a night out to celebrate our safe community together at Pavion Park on Tuesday, August 1 from 5-8 pm.

Fun activities for all ages include arts and crafts, games and prizes, a bounce house, face painting, interactive booths, and multiple Orange County Sheriff's displays. Listen to music played by DJ Mad Platter and enjoy a free hotdog and Kona Ice while supplies last. Don't miss out on an opportunity drawing for a chance to win a bike!

A free shuttle service will be provided at the Marty Russo Youth Athletic Park from 4:30-8:30 pm.

Mission Viejo Police Services will host a free Home Burglary & Theft Prevention Seminar on Thursday, June 15 at 6 pm at the Norman P. Murray Center.

Crime Prevention Specialist Timory McElwain will discuss current crime trends and crime prevention strategies to better safeguard your property. Reservations are not required.
