All dog adoptions are $20 on Aug. 26 in honor of National Dog Day
The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center is celebrating National Dog Day on August 26 by offering all dog adoptions for $20.
National Dog Day celebrates our four-legged canine friends in all sizes, shapes, and breeds. It is a day designed to promote adoption of rescue dogs, support local shelters, and discourage people from buying from pet stores supplied by puppy mills or backyard breeders. There are many ways to celebrate this day with your pooch. You can adopt from the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center, volunteer with a dog rescue, donate to animal welfare groups, or just spend the day spoiling your pup.
Dogs brings unimaginable joy to our lives, and National Dog Day is the perfect opportunity for us to give back to them.

Hi there-
My daughter and I were there yesterday, she wanted me to meet Hazel. We actually had applied for Sunshine a few weeks ago but the timing was off because of a pre-planned family vacation. Hazel, however was my daughters first choice all along and in meeting her yesterday I have to agree. At first we thought she was a little bigger than we were hoping for but I think she’s perfect actually.
I feel it’s almost meant to be with the National dog day special too we didn’t even know about that when we went there yesterday!
Please let me know how we can move forward and take advantage of the special pricing. The application is under my husband, Jeff henderson, but he just left this morning for a business trip, and I am at work today so I am not sure how to go about this exactly. Paige, my daughter is 19 and is capable of turning in the app etc but I just can’t leave work today.
Please let us know asap!
