Artists sought for Mental Health Awareness Month exhibit

potocki

The City of Mission Viejo is seeking artists for "The Art of Well-being," exhibit celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month in May 2024.

The exhibit will comprise works from five to six artists showing between three and five pieces each. The exhibit will run from early April through the end of May at the Potocki Center for the Arts, 27301 La Paz Road.

Research shows that the arts have a positive impact on mental health, and this exhibit is intended to invite conversation and encourage viewers to prioritize their own sense of well-being during Mental Health Awareness Month.

This call for art is open to all local artists who produce two-dimensional work in any type of media. Artists will be selected based on artistic merit and relevance to the exhibit's theme, and chosen by the City’s Cultural Arts Committee. Artists chosen to participate will be contacted by January 31. Artists who apply and are not selected for this exhibit will be considered for future exhibit opportunities with the City of Mission Viejo.

Apply by November 30 by completing the City's exhibit proposal form online and uploading between three and five samples of your work.
