Does your neighborhood have Neighborhood Watch?

This community-based program is designed to educate you and your neighbors on effective crime prevention techniques for your home and neighborhood. Through the program, Mission Viejo Police Services and the community work together to enhance neighborhood security and heighten awareness. 

The benefits of this program are numerous. It helps you to:  

Deputy Cuzynski was named Deputy of the Year during the Mission Viejo Elks Lodge #2444 Annual Law Enforcement and Firefighters Appreciation Luncheon on Sunday.

Deputy Cuzynski has been with the Orange County Sheriff's Department for more than a decade and has served the City of Mission Viejo for the past five years.

In an effort to help educate local businesses about crime prevention, Mission Viejo Police Services is encouraging business owners and employees to sign-up for the Business Watch Program.

Deputy Spencer Crisp, a veteran Sheriff's Department patrol deputy, has been named Mission Viejo Police Services' 2021 Employee of the Year. 

This devoted deputy is respected by his peers and supervisors alike, who selected him for the award.

If you are interested in applying for a CCW permit or understanding the application process, please join the Orange County Sheriff's Department for an evening of important information.

Representatives from the OCSD's CCW unit will be present to help guide you through the application process and answer specific questions you may have.

Deputies will discuss the considerations for carrying a concealed weapon and the laws related to personal defense.

Mission Viejo Police Services has compiled a list of tips to keep you and your family safe while shopping this holiday season.

Gusty Santa Ana winds throughout the week with low humidity will result in high fire danger and Red Flag warnings.

A Red Flag warning means critical fire weather conditions are either happening now or will soon. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire potential and erratic fire behavior. 

You can dispose of your unwanted, used or expired prescription medications during the drive-through National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, October 23 at Mission Viejo City Hall.

You can dispose of your unwanted, used or expired prescription medications during the drive-through National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, October 23 at Mission Viejo City Hall.  

The event is from 10 am to 2 pm at 200 Civic Center.

The City of Mission Viejo and Orange County's Sheriff's Department are gearing up to host the 33rd Annual Walk Against Drugs from 8 am to noon on Saturday, October 16.
