Mission Viejo is seeking public input for an updated plan that will help the City better prepare for natural disasters. 

With a high wind warning and 1 to 3 inches of rain expected to pummel the region Tuesday through Wednesday, the City is reminding residents to take precautions and prepare. 

Sandbags are available to protect properties from flooding and emergency erosion. The City offers sandbags on a first-come, first-served basis. Bags are pre-filled and are limited to 10 bags per resident. Residents can pick-up sandbags throughout the City at the following locations: 

The City of Mission Viejo is seeking exhibitors for its annual Green Expo on Saturday, April 22. 

Exhibitors with an environmental product, service or message to share with the community are sought to participate in the expo as part of the City’s Earth Day and Arbor Day event.  

Residents can learn essential skills by participating in the City’s Community Emergency Preparedness Academy (CEPA) that begins on April 11. 

CEPA is a collaborative effort between the City of Mission Viejo, Orange County Fire Authority, Sheriff’s Department, and other emergency response agencies. The program takes place Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:30-9:30 pm through May 5.
