Mission Viejo Library Now Streaming an Award-Winning Veterans' Film February 14th through February 21st
America's future food supply is in jeopardy. Over half of America's farmers have reached retirement
age. But some of our veterans are stepping up to the plate and accepting the challenge. They are not
afraid to do what it takes to secure our food supply. They know how to get a job done right in any
kind of weather. They have experience rising early and working long hours. They are well-suited for
this career because discipline is second nature to them. They have made the career transition from
soldier to farmer and are currently transforming our food production industry.
These veterans have successfully tackled urban farming, beekeeping, pastured livestock production,
aquaponics and additional food production methods. And they are enjoying their new careers!
