35th Annual Walk Against Drugs and South County Disaster Preparedness Expo this Saturday
The City of Mission Viejo and Orange County Sheriff’s Department will host the 35th Annual Walk Against Drugs and South County Disaster Preparedness Expo on Saturday, October 21.
The event kicks off at 8 am with a rally at Mission Viejo High School (25025 Chrisanta Drive) with singer-songwriter Karly Moreno from NBC’s “The Voice†as the keynote speaker.
After the rally, participants will walk together up La Paz Road through the Oso Creek Trail and end at the Village Green at Oso Viejo Community Park (24932 Veterans Way).
The Community Fair and South County Disaster Preparedness Expo takes place from 9 am to noon. The South County Disaster Preparedness Expo will include Sheriff’s Department and Orange County Fire Authority displays, SWAT, K-9 Unit, Air Support, Orange County Crime Lab, Hazardous Device Station, Search and Rescue, Traffic Safety Unit and School Resource Officers. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Karly Moreno and enjoy music by DJ Mad Platter, inflatables, games, food for purchase, crafts and entertainment during the Community Fair.
