Mark your calendar for the 3rd Annual Mission Viejo Film Festival from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 2 at Saddleback College’s McKinney Theatre, 28000 Marguerite Pkwy.

The screenings will be based on categories that include “Short Films: High School”; “Short Films: College/Indie”; and viewing of this year’s “Music Videos” winner.

A session with the filmmakers takes place after every screening so they can discuss their films and answer questions. The top films will receive one of five awards.

The Mission Viejo Film Festival not only showcases aspiring filmmakers, but also supports City of Hope’s Pediatric Center for Cancer Research and Treatment.

Introduced by brothers Grant and Tyler Voss in memory of their late uncle Mark Jennings, the previous festivals have raised more than $11,500 for City of Hope.
