Adults and teens sought for Community of Character Committee

community of character

The City of Mission Viejo is seeking adult and student members for its Community of Character Committee.

Developed from the City’s award-winning Community of Character program, the committee helps plan activities and outreach to promote good character in our schools and community through different programs and City events. Committee membership is open to residents and students (grades 8-12) who attend a Mission Viejo school, even if they live outside the City.

This committee offers teens opportunities for leadership, event planning, involvement in City activities and provides a fun way for students to strengthen their high school resumes, make a difference in their community, and fulfill their service hours requirements. The committee meets the first and third Wednesday of the month beginning at 5:30 pm for the teens with adult members joining at 6 pm.

Meetings take place in the City Hall Saddleback Room at 200 Civic Center. For more information and an application, contact Vickie Sullivan at vsullivan@cityofmissionviejo.org; 949-470-8436 or Mayor Trish Kelley at trishkelley@cox.net; 949-285-0309.
