Apply now to serve on 2018-2019 OC Grand Jury

Have you ever wanted to serve on a grand jury? Well, now’s your chance.  The Superior Court of Orange County is seeking qualified individuals to serve on the 2018-2019 Orange County Grand Jury.

The 19-member panel investigates the performance of county, city and other local agencies; analyzes data and writes reports with recommendations for improvement; and investigates citizen complaints about local government agencies. Jury members also decide on indictments for some criminal cases; verify that local tax dollars are spent wisely; and examine conditions at local jails. The stipend for service is $50 per day plus mileage reimbursement.

To qualify for service, you must be an OC resident; United States citizen, at least 18, in possession of sound judgment and good character and have a sufficient knowledge of English. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply by Friday, January 26, 2018.
