Artist Reception Sunday celebrates incredible exhibit at Potocki Center for the Arts
A special artist reception is set for Sunday to celebrate the incredible works of art on display at the Potocki Center for the Arts.
The reception is from 2-5 pm at 27301 La Paz Road.
The fascinating exhibit is by students of Dr. Marillyn Brame, director of Visual Arts Art School and a designer of visual arts murals. She teaches classes for children and adults in all media – from beginning drawing to advanced painting techniques.
Marillyn is a past president and director of community relations for Orange County Fine Arts and a member of the City of Mission Viejo Cultural Arts Committee, Mission Viejo Activities Committee and the Arts Committee of Orange County Mental Health Board. She designed a 60-foot long curving mosaic tile wall on the Oso Creek Trail for the City as well as eight of the 10 columns in the Centennial Garden, the final Tierra Nativa Project of the Oso Creek Trail. Her paintings are in collections from Florida to California and the City of Mission Viejo owns one, a view of the Oso Creek Trail, which is a part of the Mission Viejo Library’s permanent art collection.
Her students’ works of art are captivating, impressive and fun to view. The exhibit is on display at the center through March 1.
