Award-winning guitarist to perform in Mission Viejo Aug. 19

Award-winning slack key guitarist Jeff Peterson takes the Mission Viejo stage on Saturday, August 19 as part of the popular Lord of the Strings concert series. The performance begins at 7 pm in the City Hall Council Chamber, 200 Civic Center.  

Recognized as one of Hawaii’s most versatile musicians, Peterson is at the heart of the Hawaiian music scene today. He contributed to two Grammy Award-winning recordings and was honored with 13 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, the premier music awards in Hawaii. 

His focus on slack key guitar, classical, and jazz music has allowed him to develop a unique and transcendent voice on the guitar while being deeply rooted in the traditions of his Hawaiian heritage.
