Christopher Park Play Area Renovation expected to be finished late June

The Christopher Park renovation is expected to be completed by the end of June. 

Nestled on Valpariso, the park is unique because it’s bordered entirely by single-family homes of residents, who consider the site as part of their livable backyard. 

With the region receiving much rain this year, the contractor experienced many rain delays of construction. This week the contractor placed architectural boulders and will follow up with the installation of rubberized surfacing.

To enhance the park’s renovation, the City has scheduled a few Eagle Scouts to help with planting florae while ensuring these types of intimate opportunities align with social distancing mandates for small “family unit groups.”
