City food drive meant to help local food pantry recover from significant loss
The City of Mission Viejo is launching a food drive to help South County Outreach recover from a recent plumbing accident that damaged the organization's pantry and much of its food inventory.
During business hours, you can drop off canned and non-perishable food items in bins located at the Mission Viejo Library, Norman P. Murray Community Center and City Hall (through Oct. 5).
South County Outreach works to prevent hunger and homelessness in our region. Its food pantry distributes nearly one million pounds of emergency, non-perishable and fresh food to an average of 9,000 families annually.
