City preparing for July 4th holiday
While City Hall prepares for the Tuesday, July 4th Independence Day holiday, the public should be aware of closures at some Mission Viejo facilities.
City Hall and the Mission Viejo Library will be closed on Tuesday, but reopen for normal business hours on Wednesday.
The Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center will be closed on Tuesday. The center reopens at 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center will be closed on Tuesday. Limited staff will be available to respond to emergency calls only. The center reopens at 12 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Mission Viejo Recreation Centers will have the following hours in place Tuesday:
- Montanoso Recreation Center - 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Sierra Recreation Center - 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Marguerite Tennis Pavilion - 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Felipe Tennis Center – Closed
Residents should also be aware that Waste Management service will not be operational on Tuesday, and that service will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
