Council will receive results of community opinion survey and more May 14

council meeting

The City Council on Tuesday, May 14 will receive the results of the recent community opinion survey as well as an update regarding part of the region's water transmission and delivery system.

The business portion of the meeting begins at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.

In the first presentation of the meeting, Timothy McLarney, president of True North Research, will discuss detailed results of the community opinion survey conducted in March.

During another presentation, the Council will receive updates to Metropolitan Water District's Allen-McColloch Pipeline. The 26-mile pipeline is part of the region's water transmission and delivery system.

In addition, the Council will consider a notice of completion for the extensive waterproofing repairs made to the Mission Viejo Library's roof. This project involved repairing hundreds of roof seams; replacing damaged hardware; and adjusting the copper panels on the roof, which were necessary due to the roof's age and the increased amount of rain over the last few years. The popular Mission Viejo Library first opened to the public in 1997.

City Council meetings are streamed live on the City's website and air on Cox Channel 30 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99. Residents are encouraged to sign up for the City's eNewsletter and follow the City's official social media sites for the most accurate, up-to-date information.
