Dispose of bulky items for free Sept. 16

dump day

The City of Mission Viejo and Caltrans are hosting a free Dump Day for Orange County residents on Saturday, September 16 at Mission Viejo City Hall from 8 to 11 am.

In an effort to keep our roadsides litter-free, staff will collect your bulky waste that’s too big to fit in residential garbage bins including mattresses, furniture and toys.

Items will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until 11 am or until full capacity is reached (whichever is first). Attendees are encouraged to arrive early.

The following items will NOT be accepted:

  1. Hazardous materials (batteries, paints, oils, chemicals, pesticides, fluorescent lights)
  2. Concrete, dirt, rocks, brick, asphalt, or sand
  3. Treated wood
  4. Tires
  5. E-waste

For more information, email d12.cleanca@dot.ca.gov.

Mission Viejo City Hall is located at 200 Civic Center.
