Wonder film poster

If you want to see a free movie with meaning this weekend, make plans to watch “Wonder” on Sunday, October 28.

Based on the New York Times bestseller, “Wonder” tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time.

Hosted by the City’s Community of Character Committee, the film starts at 2 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center. A discussion follows the movie about this month’s character word “respect.”

I’ve read the book with my middle school students and loved it. It is a lesson in the power of love, family and friendship.
Thank you, MGG
