The City of Mission Viejo is gearing up for its annual Oso Fit Community Health Fair and 5K Fun Run from 7:30-11 a.m. Saturday, February 23 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

The Community Health Fair features something for all ages including a host of free screenings - glucose; blood pressure; body fat; grip strength; chiropractic; stroke; Malocclusion; thyroid scans; and others. This annual event is part of an ongoing City effort to promote Mission Viejo's role as a Healthy Eating, Active Living (HEAL) city.

Early bird prices for the Oso Fit 5K Fun Run end at 4 p.m. February 16, so register now for the 5K Fun Run/Walk and Children's Half- and Quarter-Mile Races.

With the 5K Fun Run/Walk and Children's races (designed for all abilities in partnership with the Children's Cerebral Palsy Movement), you can enjoy the scenic Oso Creek Trail while supporting your favorite Mission Viejo nonprofit organization. That's right: 100 percent of your pre-registration fee will go to a nonprofit of your choice.

Register before February 16 and receive an event T-shirt along with discounted fees. For more information, visit http://osofit5k.org.
