Educational workshop Jan. 17 covers recreational marijuana and Prop 64

The City’s Drug Prevention Coalition is hosting an educational workshop on January 17 to address recreational marijuana and Proposition 64.

The workshop is at 6 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

The Drug Prevention Coalition is teaming up with the Orange County Health Care Agency to provide detailed information regarding legislative, legal and age parameters. Discussion will also center on youth consumption of cannabis and the physical, mental and legal consequences of using marijuana. Parents will learn how to begin the conversation with their teens and will receive resources to use at home and school. Participants will see a video and leave equipped with essential information.
