To help families struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federal Communications Commission rolled out a new Emergency Broadband Program. The program will provide eligible households with discounts on monthly internet service from participating broadband providers.
Eligible households can receive discounts of up to $50 per month for broadband service. It also provides a one-time discount of up to $100 on a computer or tablet. Discount prices are dependent on each provider.
Mission Viejo service providers Cox Communications and AT&T are both participating in the program.
