As part of an ongoing effort to keep kids safe, Mission Viejo Police Services is hosting an upcoming Childhood Watch Safety Academy.

This free four-meeting program is designed to offer first through fifth grade students living in Mission Viejo an array of tools to help keep them safe. The classes take place on Wednesday nights from 6-7 pm March 11 to April 1 in the Mission Viejo City Hall Saddleback Room at 200 Civic Center.

The topics will teach kids about bullying prevention and assertiveness training; personal safety and self-defense; cyber safety; and bicycle safety.

Registration is open to Mission Viejo residents, and space is limited.  Register your child today by calling Police Services at 949-470-8433.  Get a sneak peek of this great program by viewing this brief video.

Due to the popularity of the academy, participants should plan to attend all four classes.
