Meet New York Times bestselling author Andy Weir to learn of his latest escapade on the moon with “Artemis†at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18 at the Norman Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way. This $18.50 ticketed program includes the book plus two admissions.
Brimming with Andy’s trademark charm, “Artemis†is a science-fiction thrill ride set in the first inhabited city on the moon in the 2080s. This fantastic read is sure to find a home alongside “The Martian†as a new classic in the genre.
Andy worked as a software engineer until the success of his first published novel allowed him to live out his dream of writing full time. He is a lifelong space nerd and devoted hobbyist of subjects like relativistic physics, orbital mechanics and the history of manned spaceflight.
One ticket (which includes a hard copy or trade paperback) will admit two patrons to the book discussion that is followed by a Q & A, book signing and photo opportunity. Books will be signed in the order of the website purchase. For more information, call 949-470-8488 or purchase tickets online today.
The Friends of the Library will host a wine bar beginning at 6:15 p.m., and Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore will sell Andy Weir’s books on site.
