Film screening and discussion of 'Ground Operations' Feb. 13
Watch a free screening of "Ground Operations," followed by a conversation with the film's producer Dulanie Ellis about the farmer-veteran movement in America on Sunday, February 13 at 2 pm.
The event takes place in the City Hall Council Chamber, 200 Civic Center.
"Ground Operations" champions combat veterans who are restoring their own lives and revitalizing their communities by transitioning into new careers in urban farming, beekeeping, pastured livestock, aquaponics and all manner of food production. The cavalry is arriving just in time as half of American farmers are retiring.
This event was made possible in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
