Fire Authority taking additional safety measures to keep us safe during heat wave

Fire Dept

With the triple-digit temperatures forecasted for the holiday weekend, the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) is taking additional steps to keep the community safe.

The department will have five wildland fire engines, two additional fire helicopters, a dozer and hand-crew around the clock as well as additional safety officers and 911 dispatch and service center personnel to combat any potential wildfires. All reserve firefighter stations will be fully manned. Along with proactive safety measures, OCFA created a video with important tips to prevent heat-related illnesses and ensure residents stay healthy and safe.
