Get Involved in Vote Center Planning
Coming in 2020, Orange County will transition to Vote Centers; a one-stop location for all things voting. The Registrar of Voters office is planning extensive efforts to educate and outreach to the public on the changes to voting and elections.
Mission Viejo will host two public information meetings in June:
Thursday, June 13, 2019
10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way
Wednesday, June 26, 2019
6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Mission Viejo City Hall, 200 Civic Center
Unlike traditional in-person voting options, Vote Centers allow you to not only vote, but to solve voter registration issues, register to vote, get a replacement ballot, and get general assistance for 11 days, not just one. Plus, electronic check-in is more secure and speeds up the process - saving voters valuable time.
Additional information on Vote Centers is available online and residents can also provide input via an online survey. It takes just a few minutes to complete and is an excellent way to ensure your voice is heard if you cannot attend one of the community workshops.
If you require special accommodations for the public information meeting, please call Jackie Wu at (714) 567-5106 or email Jackie.Wu@rov.ocgov.com at least 4 business days in advance.
