Girls Meet the Workforce series begins April 12

Mission Viejo residents are invited to a series of workshops for girls in grades 6th-12th and their parents/guardians designed to teach them about different careers and engage them with female professionals paving the way at businesses like Google in Orange County.

Girls taking part in the STEM Series will learn from female programmers, engineers, economic advisors, scientists and marketing experts from Google, DPR Construction, Payoff, Arbonne and Column Five.

Workshops will take place at the different companies and include a hands-on activity directly related to the field as well as a tour of the facility. Parents or guardians must attend with the teen. The first workshop is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 12 at Google in Irvine.
