North Mission Viejo Little League (NMVLL), part of California District 68, is seeking community donations to help send its Challenger team to participate in the 2024 Little League World Series this August in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Any person with a physical or intellectual challenge can participate in the Little League Challenger Division, which accommodates players ages 4 to 18; or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school.

Participating in the 2024 Little League World Series is a prestigious honor for the players and their families. The team of up to 15 children and young adults will travel for a week-long stay in Williamsport to participate in the nationally televised classic, culminating with a game on Saturday, the day of the US and International finals.

"We cannot overemphasize this unique opportunity to participate in Little League Baseball at the highest level possible," said District Administrator Ezio Petrella. "Accordingly, we want to make this event the most positive and rewarding once-in-a-lifetime experience for the lucky team."

The goal is to raise enough money to get 15 players, parents, buddies and coaches to Williamsport without causing them a financial burden. The public can help the kids experience this incredible opportunity by mailing tax-deductible checks (in any amount) to District 68 at PO Box 3025, Mission Viejo, CA 92690. Online donations can be made via this link
