Help plan 2018 Relay For Life of Mission Viejo
If you are seeking a fun way to give back, consider joining the planning team for the 2018 Relay For Life of Mission Viejo.
An Event Leadership Team Committee meeting is set for 6 p.m. on October 11 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center.
Passionate volunteers are sought to fill several leadership roles for one of the longest, most successful Relay events in the state. Held every June, Relay for Life is a fun-filled overnight American Cancer Society event that celebrates survivorship and raises money for research and programs. The event offers something for everyone - from the newly diagnosed and caregivers to friends and long-term cancer survivors.
This year's event will take place the weekend of June 9-10 at Oso Viejo Community Park.
"Relay For Life is nearly 100% volunteer-driven, so many hands will make for light work and great success," said longtime organizer Denise Matson.
