hazing

High school students and parents are invited to attend an anti-hazing workshop at 6 pm on May 17 at the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

Sponsored by the City of Mission Viejo, this essential workshop in partnership with Saddleback Valley Unified and Capistrano Unified School Districts will explore the dangers and consequences of hazing with high school students and their families who are preparing for college. Hazing is any activity expected of someone joining or participating in a group that humiliates, degrades, abuses, or endangers the individual regardless of a person’s willingness to participate

Panelists will include parents who have lost children to tragic hazing incidents. The event will be led by Daniel Catullo and Dr. Buzz Mingin.

Food trucks will be onsite for dinner. To register, visit this link.
