Holiday fun this winter in Mission Viejo
The City of Mission Viejo and Mission Viejo Activities Committee are gearing up for the holidays with several fun family-friendly events for all ages.
Santa’s Workshop
Saturday and Sunday through Dec.18, 6-8 pm
Jolly old Santa Claus will plan several return visits to his workshop. Along with Mrs. Claus and the elves, Santa will greet all visitors with a cheerful, Ho! Ho! Ho! and a peppermint candy cane. You are welcome to take pictures during your visit. Santa and Mrs. Claus appear for photos on Saturday and Sunday evenings only, but the workshop is open every day for the community to enjoy.
Letters to Santa
Through Dec. 18
Santa promises to answer every holiday wish list deposited in the mailbox next to his workshop between November 27 and December 18. The bearded soul will personally respond to the delight of adults and children alike. Make sure to get your letter in early and print names and addresses clearly.
Rudolph’s Rink
Through Dec. 12
Monday-Friday, 4-8 pm (last session at 7 pm)
Saturday & Sunday, 2-9 pm (last session at 8 pm)
Back by popular demand! Come and enjoy this one-week only event. All are welcome to sit back, relax, and take in the holiday ambiance whether you skate of not. Skating can be a family fun activity. Each 40-minute session begins on the hour. Skate rental is $12. A signed waiver is required for each participant. The waiver will be available early December. Please note Rudolph's Rink is a synthetic skate rink that allows all to have the opportunity to skate outdoors in Southern California.
City Sidewalks & Night Market
Saturday, December 17, 5-9 pm
Take City sidewalks between Santa’s Workshop and the North Paseo while enjoying carolers, the Grinch and other characters, crafts, and live entertainment along the way. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in their workshop and the Night Market will host games, food, s’mores, beer garden and live entertainment.
All holiday events take place at 200 Civic Center other than the Gifts & Goodies Boutique which takes place at the Norman P. Murray Center, 24932 Veterans Way and the City Sidewalks Holiday Stroll is between City Hall and the North Paseo, 25282 Marguerite Parkway.
