MIND BOOSTER SERIES BY ALZHEIMER’S FAMILY CENTER
MIND BOOSTER is a research-based series that provides a proactive approach to understanding the causes and risk factors of memory loss. Classes focus on maintaining skills; slowing progression; using memory tools; understanding super foods, exercise and stress management; and legal and financial guidance. ATX CARDIAC MEDICAL LIFESTYLE
ATX Cardiac is a program to promote health and stress management. The program will help improve respiratory function and circulation, increase balance, build strength and muscle tone and is a preventative measure for cardiovascular disease. The one-hour program is at 10:30 a.m. on September 15, 22 and September 29. Cost is a

U.S. HISTORY OF THE LATE 19TH CENTURY
Enjoy an in-depth study of the most important events of U.S. history from the end of the Civil War to the end of the 19th Century. Using a variety of resources, students will learn about this epoch in American History. This free program takes place every Monday at 10 a.m. through November 20. HOSPICE 101
A panel of experts from Silverado Hospice will lead a discussion about what hospice is and the options available to meet each individual’s unique needs as well as the benefits of planning ahead for the entire family. TOTAL JOINT REPLACEMENT
If you are considering hip or knee replacement, don’t miss this presentation by Mission Hospital orthopedic surgeon Dr. Samuel Park about the latest customized orthopedic techniques and innovative procedures for joint replacement. WINE CORK PUMPKIN
Wondering what to do with spare wine corks? Why not make a pumpkin to celebrate fall? Using paint, glue, felt and wine corks, you can create your own pumpkin table centerpiece during this fun class from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. September 15. Cost is $10. FALL PREVENTION TIPS
We can prevent falls by increasing awareness of our surroundings. Registered physical therapist Hal Nelson will share ideas on home safety, improving balance and how to reduce the risk of falls. SOOTHING OUR MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT THROUGH MEDITATION
