Learn about the fentanyl and opioid crisis in Orange County May 10 at the Norman P. Murray Center
The community is invited to learn about the fentanyl and opioid crisis taking place in Orange County during the “Addressing the Opioid Crisis in Orange County†forum on Wednesday, May 10 from 6:30 to 8 pm at the Norman P. Murray Center.
The City of Mission Viejo, OC Health Care Agency, Orange County Sheriff’s Department and Orange County Supervisor Donald P. Wagner, Third District are sponsoring the free forum.
At the meeting you will learn about the dangers of fentanyl and the steps you can take to keep you, your family and your community safe. OCSD Sergeant Brian Gunsolley will provide an update about the crisis in Orange County and the OC Health Care Agency will provide a brief training on how to administer Naloxone – a life-saving opioid overdose reversal drug. All participants will receive a free box at the end of the training.
Due to the sensitive nature of the forum and “field†examples from law enforcement, this is intended for people 18 years or older or age 16 with a parent or guardian.
Registration is required and available online. Light dessert and beverages will be served to attendees.
