The City of Mission Viejo Drug Abuse Prevention Coalition and Orange County Health Care Agency are hosting a workshop on the Youth Vaping Epidemic and what parents must know.

The program is at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, February 19 at the Norman P. Murray Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

The workshop will help parents:

  • Know about the different types of vapes and how they work.
  • Understand how vape aerosol and nicotine can affect a teen’s health.
  • Explain why vapes are appealing to teens.
  • Learn what you can do to talk to teens about vaping.

Coalition meetings are open to the public interested in learning about area drug trends, community resources addressing drug use and prevention, and understanding best practices to support a drug-free Mission Viejo.

For more information about the Drug Abuse Prevention Coalition, contact Community Services Supervisor Leslie McDonald at lmcdonald@cityofmissionviejo.org.
